Roast Monkfish Box


Freshly caught Monkfish with rosemary with a side of Potato and Anchovy Gratin. A quick and tasty night in, perfect for the bank holiday weekend.

Collection is between 12pm and 4pm Wednesday – Saturday
Order by 2pm for same day collection (Wed – Sat)

Cooking Instructions

Before cooking: Take the monkfish out of the fridge and unwrap at least 15 minuets prior to cooking to allow the fish to start drying out and come up in temperature slightly.
1. Season the monkfish all over with salt, place into a hot pan with a little oil and butter, colour the monkfish all the way around until golden.
2. Place into a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 20- 25 minutes. After this time take the monkfish out squeeze over half a lemon and allow to rest for 4-5 minuets. The monkfish will have shrunk slightly and should be firm.
3. The potato gratin needs to be reheated at 160 degrees until pipping hot.
4. To portion the monkfish either cut across directly through the one bone or cut the fillets off either side of the bone.
