As proud supporters of the Ocean Recovery Project, we’d like to thank all our guests for your kind donations which do so much to aid the conservation of our marine environment.

Part of Keep Britain Tidy, the initiative is focused on protecting and restoring ocean ecosystems by reducing plastic waste, conserving marine habitats, and supporting sustainable fishing practices. This project engages communities, scientists, and policymakers to address the urgent challenges facing the world’s oceans, promoting long-term health and resilience for both marine life and coastal communities. Through educational campaigns, clean-up efforts, and advocacy, the Ocean Recovery Project is working to create a healthier, more sustainable future for our oceans.

Since Fish Shop opened in 2023, we’ve raised over £13,000 for the charity thanks to your support of a discretionary £1 donation added to every bill. This money has made a real difference, from recently clearing seven tonnes of plastic from remote beaches on the  Scottish Isles, to working on making discarded trawler nets recycleable, which until 2022 wasn’t the case.

The Ocean Recovery Project continues to make an incredible impact and we can’t wait to continue supporting them and sharing their progress in the years to come.
